hDMT and LUMC are partner in EUROoC network for joint European Organ-on-Chip research
DMT will be taking part in a European research network to promote the development of Organ-on-Chip technology. hDMT Managing Director Janny van den Eijnden – van Raaij actively participates as a member of the Advisory Board and of the Outreach Committee. Moreover, two hDMT consortium partners, University of Twente and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), are full project partners of the EUROoC network. In this network, academic and industry scientists from all over Europe that are experts in various disciplines pool their strengths to develop advanced Organ-on-Chip systems. Another focus of the network is the interdisciplinary training of young researchers. The Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB is coordinating the establishment of this new European research network. Many of the partners in EUROoC work together already on a roadmap and network for Organ-on-Chip technology in the H2020 project ORCHID, which is coordinated by LUMC.
The European Organ-on-Chip (EUROoC) project is funded by the EU under the highly competitive Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (MSCA-ITN) programme.
